OnSiteHand is operated by ONSITEHAND LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17186065, with its registered office at Unit A449, 4-6 Greatorex Street, London, E1 5NF, United Kingdom. In these Terms, "OnSiteHand", "we", "us" and "our" refer to ONSITEHAND LIMITED.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OnSiteHand. "OnSiteHand" means the website, platform and trading name. By using OnSiteHand, you agree to these Terms.

1. What OnSiteHand Is

OnSiteHand is an online platform that connects employers seeking tradespeople with tradespeople offering their services in the United Kingdom. We provide the technology to facilitate introductions but do not employ tradespeople, manage work, or guarantee outcomes.

Important: OnSiteHand is not the employer of any tradesperson on the platform, and we do not control how work is performed. Any working relationship is directly between the employer and tradesperson.

2. Who Can Use OnSiteHand

You may use OnSiteHand if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Are a resident of the United Kingdom or have permission to work in the UK (for tradespeople)
  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login details secure
  • All activity under your account
  • Updating your information to keep it accurate
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use

4. Employer Responsibilities

As an employer on OnSiteHand, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate job descriptions and requirements.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with workers.
  • Pay workers directly for the work performed as agreed (payment for work itself is not processed by OnSiteHand — see Section 5b below).
  • Leave honest and fair reviews.
  • Carry out your own due diligence before hiring anyone. This includes (where relevant) checks on right to work, age, identity, qualifications, insurance, CSCS / industry cards, site requirements, references, health and safety suitability and any background checks you require for the specific job.
  • Comply with all applicable employment, health and safety, and tax laws.
  • Not bulk-harvest, scrape, share, sell or otherwise misuse phone contact data revealed through paid unlocks (see Section 5a).

Disclaimer: OnSiteHand does not employ any worker on the platform and does not guarantee suitability, background, criminal record, right to work, quality of work, qualifications or site eligibility for any particular job. Trust badges only confirm that the specific check listed has been completed and approved — they are not a substitute for your own due diligence.

5. Tradesperson Responsibilities

"Tradesperson" in these Terms is an umbrella term covering tradespeople, labourers, site workers, subcontractors, small teams and limited company contractors who offer their services on OnSiteHand.

As a tradesperson on OnSiteHand, you agree to:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Provide accurate profile information including qualifications, certifications, and experience.
  • Not misrepresent your age, identity, qualifications, insurance, right to work, criminal history, trade experience, credentials, phone number or availability.
  • Make sure you are legally allowed and suitable to carry out the work you accept (including right to work in the UK and site-specific requirements).
  • Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Deliver quality work as agreed with employers.
  • Maintain appropriate insurance and certifications for your trade.
  • Honor commitments made through the platform.
  • Update your availability status accurately.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations for your trade.

Marketplace, not employer: OnSiteHand is a connection platform. We do not employ you, do not direct your work, do not guarantee jobs and do not guarantee outcomes. Any working relationship is directly between you and the employer.

Verification: Trust badges only indicate the specific check that has been completed and approved (for example, identity verified, CSCS card approved). They do not guarantee suitability for any job, ongoing compliance, criminal history, right to work or quality of work — that remains the responsibility of the employer to satisfy themselves about, and the responsibility of the worker to be honest about.

5a. Phone Contact and Privacy

Phone numbers on OnSiteHand are private by default. They are encrypted at rest and never appear in public profiles, search results or any logged-out view.

  • A worker's phone number is only revealed to an employer if that worker has explicitly opted in and the employer has paid the credit cost to unlock phone contact for that specific worker.
  • A paid phone unlock is for that employer-worker pair only. It does not give the employer a right to share, publish or store the number outside the platform for any purpose beyond legitimate job arrangement.
  • If a worker changes or removes their phone number, all existing phone unlocks for that worker are automatically revoked. Employers will need to pay again to reveal the new number.
  • Workers can turn phone contact off at any time from their account settings. Doing so revokes any past phone unlocks for that worker.
  • OnSiteHand does not act as a phonebook and will suspend accounts that bulk-harvest, scrape, share, sell or otherwise misuse phone contact data.

5b. Job Payments

OnSiteHand does not process payments for the work itself. Subscription, top-up and feature credit payments to OnSiteHand are entirely separate from the price of the job.

  • Day rates, fixed prices, quotes, deposits, materials, expenses, retentions and any other payments for the actual work are agreed directly between the employer and the worker, outside OnSiteHand.
  • OnSiteHand does not hold funds in escrow for jobs and does not guarantee payment, completion or quality of work.
  • "Price work / quotes" is the umbrella term we use for price-based engagements (sometimes called quote work, fixed price, lump sum or measured work). Day rate is a payment preference, not a separate role.

6. Profile and Content Rules

All content you submit must be:

  • Truthful and accurate
  • Your own or used with permission
  • Compliant with applicable laws
  • Free from offensive, defamatory, or misleading content

We may remove content that violates these rules and suspend accounts without notice.

7. Messaging and Offers

Messages, offers, counteroffers, and acceptances made through OnSiteHand:

  • Are communications between users, not with OnSiteHand
  • May create binding arrangements between you and other users
  • Do not remove your responsibility to verify details before committing
  • Are subject to our acceptable use policy

8. Subscriptions, Credits, and Billing

Employer subscriptions:

  • Are billed monthly in advance
  • Include a set number of Monthly Credits per billing period
  • Renew automatically until cancelled
  • Can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard

Two types of credits:

  • Monthly Credits (your monthly subscription credits) are included with your active subscription and renew on each billing renewal. Unused Monthly Credits can roll over to the next billing period, but your Monthly Credit balance cannot exceed 2× your monthly allowance (for example, 30 credits on the Starter plan, 80 on Pro and 150 on Business). Any monthly renewal that would push the balance above this cap is reduced accordingly. Monthly Credits require an active subscription to be spent.
  • Top-up Credits are purchased separately as one-off top-ups. They are not subject to the 2× rollover cap, but they also require an active subscription to be spent. Top-up Credits never expire while your account remains in good standing.

How credits are spent: when you take a paid action (such as unlocking a profile, starting a hire conversation, or sending an urgent job alert), Monthly Credits are spent first, and Top-up Credits are used only when your Monthly Credit balance is exhausted.

What credits unlock: credits are used to unlock a tradesperson's full profile (bio, reviews, credentials, availability), to start hiring conversations, and to send urgent job alerts. Phone numbers and email addresses are never shared — all communication stays inside OnSiteHand.

Refund and transfer rules:

  • Credits cannot be refunded or converted to cash
  • Credits cannot be transferred to other accounts
  • If your subscription lapses, your Monthly and Top-up Credit balances are preserved, but cannot be spent until you have an active subscription again

See our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy for more details.

9. Renewals and Cancellations

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. When you cancel:

  • No further payments will be taken
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Your Monthly Credit and Top-up Credit balances remain in your account, but cannot be spent until you have an active subscription again
  • Monthly Credits do not renew further once your subscription ends

10. No Guarantees

OnSiteHand does not guarantee:

  • That you will find work or hire suitable tradespeople
  • The quality, safety, or legality of any work performed
  • The accuracy of information provided by other users
  • That the platform will be available without interruption

You use OnSiteHand at your own risk.

11. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the platform for illegal purposes
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Spam or send unsolicited messages
  • Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions
  • Scrape, copy, or misuse platform data
  • Circumvent subscription or credit systems
  • Impersonate others or provide false information

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account:

  • For violations of these Terms
  • For suspected fraud or abuse
  • For non-payment of subscription fees
  • At our sole discretion with or without notice

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • OnSiteHand is not liable for any disputes between users
  • We are not liable for any work performed or not performed
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim

14. Disputes

Disputes between users should be resolved directly between the parties. OnSiteHand is not a party to any arrangement between employers and tradespeople.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of OnSiteHand after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
